Diagnostic Technician / Mechanic
Are you an experienced Workshop Technician looking to join a small, privately owned garage? We're a friendly and busy workshop dedicated to providing top-quality MOTs, servicing, and mechanical repairs for a wide range of road cars. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and high standards of workmanship.
We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic individual who can hit the ground running. You'll be a key part of our small team, responsible for diagnosing and resolving a variety of vehicle issues.
What you'll be doing:
· Performing vehicle diagnostics using modern equipment to identify faults accurately.
· Carrying out routine servicing in line with manufacturer specifications.
· Undertaking a broad range of mechanical repairs, including brakes, suspension, clutches, and engine work.
· Conducting MOT pre-checks and presenting vehicles for test.
· Investigating and resolving complex intermittent faults.
· Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
· Communicating effectively with colleagues and customers regarding vehicle issues and repairs.
What we're looking for:
· Proven experience as a Workshop Technician in a garage environment.
· Strong diagnostic skills and a solid understanding of vehicle electrical and mechanical systems.
· Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
· A comprehensive understanding of all aspects of general vehicle maintenance and repair.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
· Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
· A valid UK driving license.
· An MOT Tester qualification is highly desirable, but not essential if you have strong relevant experience.
