What you will do: Manage a Children in Care caseload, undertaking assessments, care planning, statutory visits and reviews in line with the Children Act 1989 and 2004. Develop, implement and review care plans and permanency plans to achieve timely and stable outcomes for children. Safeguard and promote the welfare of looked after children, ensuring their voice and lived experience inform all decision-making. Prepare high-quality reports and present professional evidence for Looked After Reviews, care planning meetings and Family Court proceedings. Person Specification: Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (or equivalent recognised qualification). Completion of Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) where applicable. Registration and Compliance: Registered with Social Work England. Enhanced DBS clearance. Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Children Act 1989/2004, Care Planning Regulations and statutory guidance for looked after children.
