Spire Bushey hospital are looking for an Oncology Pharmacist with leadership / management skills to Support Pharmacy Manager (Full-time 37.5 hours). Spire Bushey Hospital forms part of a 4 site portfolio, and is supported by and works alongside Spire Bushey Diagnostic Centre, Elstree Cancer Centre and Spire Pathology Centre – based on Centennial Park in Elstree - just 5 minutes from the main hospital site. Duties and responsibilities
1. Accountable for delivery of pharmacy service within specialist area - Oncology
2. Support Pharmacy Manager in the Division of Pharmacy and Medicines Management with service improvement projects or development programmes that contribute to the modernisation of pharmacy services, providing both professional and pharmaceutical advice as necessary.
3. Provides leadership that challenges traditional practices and encourages innovative problem solving amongst staff,
4. Responsible for managing and prioritising their own workload.
5. Ensures full compliance with internal and external governance procedures and benchmarks against best practice requirements for medicines management.
6. Manages the daily supervision and co-ordination of the designated pharmacy team including staff appraisal, performance management, sickness absence and grievance issues where appropriate.
7. Contributes on the development and implementation of competencies for all grades of staff within specialist area.
Who we're looking for
8. Be GPHC registered - your registration should not have any restrictions or conditions
9. Have a minimum of 2 years, post-graduation experience in a hospital environment
10. Oncology experience
11. Clinical diploma desirable
Working Hours: Full Time, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm / 9am - 5pm + some Saturdays 8am-1pm Contract Type: Permanent Benefits
