As an Executive Search Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end executive search assignments across senior leadership roles, partnering closely with clients to identify, attract, and secure top-tier executive talent. This role combines market intelligence, strategic advisory, and relationship management, requiring strong commercial acumen and the ability to operate with discretion at senior levels.
About the Role
You will manage the full lifecycle of executive search mandates, from initial client consultation and role scoping through to candidate identification, assessment, offer negotiation, and placement. You will also play a key advisory role, supporting clients with insight into market trends, talent strategy, and best-practice executive recruitment.
Responsibilities
* Client Engagement & Advisory
* Partner closely with clients to understand organisational needs, leadership challenges, and ideal executive profiles.
* Agree and manage search and selection processes, including timelines, milestones, and communication cadence.
* Provide ongoing market insight, talent intelligence, and advisory support throughout the search lifecycle.
* Manage client expectations through clear communication, progress updates, and strategic guidance.
* Executive Search Delivery
* Conduct comprehensive market research to identify and map high-calibre executive talent.
* Proactively approach senior-level professionals, including those not actively seeking new opportunities.
* Evaluate candidates against role requirements, leadership capability, and cultural alignment.
* Present well-qualified, thoroughly assessed candidates to clients.
* Candidate Relationship Management
* Build trusted relationships with senior professionals, discussing confidential and speculative opportunities.
* Gain commitment from candidates for representation in the market.
* Coordinate interview processes, gather feedback, and manage candidate experience.
* Lead offer negotiations and support successful placements through to completion.
* Commercial & Internal Collaboration
* Work closely with internal commercial and delivery teams to identify cross-market opportunities for candidates.
* Recognise and capitalise on revenue opportunities through strong market awareness.
* Contribute to long-term client and candidate relationship development.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in executive search, senior recruitment, or a comparable consultative sales environment
Required Skills
* Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at board and C-suite level
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client and candidate relationships
* Strong negotiation skills, with experience managing complex offers and stakeholder expectations
* High levels of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
