An opportunity has now arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities: · Develop 3D mechanical designs and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks (or other CAD software). · Participate in concept development and detailed design of automated conveyor systems and associated mechanical assemblies. · Collaborate with electrical and controls engineers to ensure mechanical integration within complete systems. · Support the production team through the fabrication, assembly, and installation phases of projects. · Perform design calculations and materials selection to ensure reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness. · Prepare and maintain technical documentation including BOMs, layouts, and assembly instructions. · Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in product design, manufacturing methods, and engineering processes. · Liaise with suppliers and customers when required to clarify technical requirements and design intent.
