Role Overview

GSL Education is recruiting a caring and proactive SEN Teaching Support to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Gosport. Starting in September 2025, this full-time role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional learning needs.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or learning delays.
* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering adapted lessons that meet individual needs.
* Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and independence.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to teachers and support staff.
* Foster a positive, nurturing environment that encourages student confidence and engagement.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and external specialists.
Job Requirements
* Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting is desirable.
* A caring, calm, and patient approach with a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to adapt to different needs and follow EHCPs or individual support plans.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
