Purpose and accountabilities of the role

* To manage the warehouse team. Ensuring a customer focused attitude, delivering operational excellence to both Internal and external customers.
* This role is a combination of managing the team in the day to day running of the warehouse, but also driving forward positive change in our culture, performance and processes.
* This role will be key in ensuring our team stay motivated and enthusiastic whilst we deliver exceptional warehouse improvements to further progress our capabilities.


Impact deliverables

* Compliance on internal stock policies and procedures
* Team management through 1-2-1's and performance reviews
* Management of all department KPI's to the required level
* Team training matrix managed and maintained to 75%
* H&S management across the warehouse and champion through the business, warehouse at 99% compliance.
* Reduction of company SLOB's through proactive stock management
* Thorough route cause analysis to operational errors to provide corrective actions to key stakeholders.
* Manage all H&S processes within the department and promote a culture where safety comes first.
* Challenging the current thinking and best practises. Ensuring all team members are trained and proficient in the processes and machinery required within the department.
* Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure all staff are multi-skilled and fully functional in all aspects of the operation.
* Follow the guidelines and principles set by the area supervisor to deliver service excellence to our customers.
* Full understanding of the D2C & B2B operations to ensure the department is operating at max efficiency.
* Oversee all stock transfers and management to a 99.8% accuracy level.
* Identify the route cause of all process failures, with corrective actions implemented and process documentation updated.
* Generate tangible KPI’s for the department to be present daily, weekly & monthly to senior management.
* Driving team performance & culture in line with company values.
* Build a solid foundation for a rapidly growing team with documented inductions & training schedules to ensure all staff are trained within a 4-week period, to the required standard.
* Ownership of the re-work projects across the operation.
* Manage MHE requirements for the department, license checks, training & observations. Documenting as per the business processes to meet auditor requirements.
* Deliver the successful completion of all EU shipments as per the business’s requirements.
* Facilitate the rotation of stock through the warehouse to ensure stock integrity.
* Undertake all relevant training to maximise the knowledge required for the role, not limited to; audits, H&S, compliance, lean six sigma, inventory management, MHE inspections & training.


What you will need to succeed

* Effective time management skills to be able to prioritise workload.
* Self-motivation, a positive attitude, emotionally intelligent and oozing enthusiasm.
* Proven track record in a warehouse environment.
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel).
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage upwards.
* Ability to manage multiple workstreams in tandem.
* Show a desire to learn & develop yourself as well as your team.
* You drive to make things happen, using pragmatism and logic like a true ‘self-starter’.
* You are confident and willing to challenge the status quo.
* You are a team player – we’re a close-knit team!
