Plant Electrician

We have 1 permanent vacancy for a Plant Electrician within the Premix Production Department working on a dayshift rotation (6.00am – 3.00pm and 09.00am – 6.00pm). There will also be a requirement to work additional hours for breakdowns, as well as one Saturday a month for maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out maintenance tasks on fully automatic batching plant and packing machines.
* Understanding the scope and safety issues relating to allocated work.
* Signing off the RAPTW and initiate a handover of the equipment to production.
* Manage & maintain all electrical jobs/maintenance on Ultimo.
* Scheduling work and ordering parts within maintenance budget.
* Carrying out defined work in accordance with DSMs SHEQ requirements.
* Recording relevant job history.
* Entering an accurate time recording for the job.
* Completing all relevant paperwork

Requirements
* The successful candidate will be expected to be a time served Electrical tradesman with an ONC or equivalent through knowledge and experience.
* At least 5 years’ experience in an automated environment.
* Candidates should have a proven track record of technical competence in their own area of discipline with fault finding and manual skills.
* Other essential behaviours are: good communication, flexible approach, self-starter and team player.
* Preference will be given to any person who has in-depth Ultimo experience, as well as to those with CompEX certifications.
