Job Title
Paediatric ENT Fellow – Fixed term, 12 months, Training Contract.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate in at least 4 paediatric operating lists and 3 OPD sessions under consultant supervision.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings on tracheostomy/airway, complex swallow & voice, and other subspecialities.
* Oversee daily management of inpatient and emergency care, including NICU/PICU, and cover ward week rota.
* Engage in the department’s multidisciplinary educational and audit programmes.
* Support and train registrars, SHO’s, GPs, FY2, FY1 and medical students.
Key Duties
* OPD clinics at Royal South Hants Hospital (RSH).
* Airway clinics and MDTs at University Hospital Southampton (UHS) site.
* Theatre activity.
* Audit, risk and governance work.
* Supporting and training junior doctors and medical students.
Qualifications, Training & Experience – Essential Criteria
* Full GMC registration.
* FRCS (ORL) or equivalent CCT (ORL).
* Minimum of four years in registrar, staff grade or specialty doctor grade, with at least two years in the appropriate specialty.
* Documented audit experience.
Qualifications, Training & Experience – Desirable Criteria
* Certification or instructor status in ATLS and ALS.
* Evidence of prior training in otology.
* Previous experience working in the NHS.

* Flexible approach to work – able to adapt and work with employers to improve patient care.
* Adequate IT skills.
Aptitudes and Skills – Desirable Criteria
* Ability to travel between hospital sites or for necessary patient visits.
