At Steer Automotive Group, we are dedicated to delivering first-class vehicle repairs with precision, efficiency, and care. We are looking for a highly skilled and organised professional to take on a dual role as Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) and Workshop Controller.
This position is ideal for someone who can combine technical expertise with strong leadership skills to ensure vehicles are accurately assessed, repairs are well planned, and workflow is efficiently managed.
What You’ll Be Doing
14. Carrying out detailed and accurate vehicle assessments using Audatex or similar systems
15. Preparing clear, cost-effective repair estimates in line with insurer and manufacturer guidelines
16. Overseeing workshop activity, allocating work to technicians, and managing repair timelines
17. Monitoring quality, productivity, and efficiency to ensure high standards are maintained
18. Liaising with customers, insurers, and internal teams to keep all parties informed
19. Supporting a safe, organised, and professional working environment
What We’re Looking For
20. Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor and/or Workshop Controller in a bodyshop or accident repair environment
21. ATA VDA accreditation (or working towards it) and proficiency in Audatex
22. Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
23. Technical knowledge of repair processes and workshop operations
24. A professional who acts with integrity, takes ownership, and strives for excellence in every aspect of their work
