Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in a hospice setting, ensuring that all areas are kept to the highest standards. This role requires effective communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
* Perform cleaning duties in designated areas such as bathrooms, play rooms, kitchens and medical rooms.
* Operating floor machinery, steamers and foggers.
* Ensure all surfaces are dusted, vacuumed, and mopped as required.
* Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company policies.
* Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are used safely and effectively.
* Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
* Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure satisfaction with cleaning services.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential for effective communication.
* Previous experience in a cleaning role is mandatory.
* Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous
* Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are crucial for success in this role.
* Enhanced DBS required
* Own transport to and from site required as public transport does not go near site
Saturday and Sunday 11am to 5.30pm
There is also overtime available throughout the week for holiday and sickness cover
