Reporting to: Children’s Home Manager

We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and motivated Deputy Children’s Home Manager to join our dedicated team. This role is integral in supporting the Registered Manager with all aspects of leadership and management, ensuring the home operates in full accordance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, the Quality Standards, and other relevant legislation.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills, high levels of professionalism, and a genuine commitment to delivering the very best outcomes for children and young people. You will play a key role in leading shifts, supporting and developing staff, and promoting a nurturing, therapeutic environment where young people feel safe, valued, and able to flourish.

We’re looking for someone who is resilient, fun, and outgoing, with a natural ability to inspire others and build positive, trusting relationships. You’ll champion teamwork, togetherness, and collaboration, working in partnership with professionals, colleagues, and young people to create a home that radiates warmth, stability, and opportunity.

If you’re aspirational for young people, passionate about promoting their growth, and eager to support a Registered Manager in delivering excellence in care, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine and lasting difference.

About Us

Empower Family Group is a passionate, child-focused organisation committed to raising standards across the care sector. We believe every child deserves a nurturing, loving home and the opportunity to thrive.

We deliver high-quality care in modern, beautifully designed solo and dual occupancy homes for children and young people under 18, located throughout Somerset. Our dedicated teams are supported by a welcoming head office and training hub at Prockters Farm in West Monkton, Taunton.

Our approach is rooted in our core values: Empowering Care, Learning and Leading, and Working Together. These principles shape everything we do - from the compassionate support we offer children, to the collaborative culture we foster among staff, and the continuous learning that drives us forward.
