Job Description:
Overview: First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic International Defence business which is looking to recruit a Marine Engineering Mechanical Trainer on a permanent basis due to growth, based at their Gosport depot.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Train within the Engine Workshop, providing theoretical and practical technical training on Mechanical engineering techniques, complex systems routines, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair techniques for RN warships and other Navies' vessels, following the Training Plan and procedures.
* Maintain and update training documentation as directed by DTM and assist others as requested.
* Assess trainee coursework and provide feedback on performance.
* Ensure the duty of care of trainees during training delivery.
* Perform Level 0 and Level 1 training equipment maintenance, given suitable qualifications and experience.
* Ensure compliance with Company security, health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
Qualifications and experience:
* Consolidated experience within the last 5 years in Marine Mechanical engineering, including hand techniques and engineering principles in the maritime environment.
* Previous instructional experience with sufficient knowledge to teach/design Mechanical Engineering modules such as Safety, Diesel Engines, Gas Turbines, Transmissions, Fuel Systems, Auxiliaries, Refrigeration, and Hydraulics.
* Production, hand tools, and craft skills (preferably within the last 5 years).
* Experience in developing Marine Mechanical engineering training courses.
* Experience within the last 3 years with CBT/CAI principles, concepts, and applications.
* Qualified academically or vocationally to at least HNC level in a relevant subject.
Additional Information:
Location: Gosport
Salary: £34,000 – £38,000
Working Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
