We’re looking for an experienced and flexible Power Engineering Mentor to join our apprenticeship team to support in the growth of our Engineering Apprenticeship provision.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Power Engineering Mentor or someone wishing to leave industry, to work on a full-time contract to carry out Training and Assessing duties for apprentices and their employers in college and the workplace.
In this role, you will be required to support the team of Electrical Power Network Engineer (EPNE) Assessors on and off site as required to facilitate the timely or relevant success of learners and provide a wide range of training solutions based on employer and learner needs.
This role will make a considerable contribution to the College’s aim to provide outstanding quality and responsiveness in training, learning and assessment in this subject area of the Electrical Power Networks Engineering coaching and mentoring learners at place of employment or remotely to meet the requirements of apprenticeship provision.
The role will include working closely with the EPNE Assessor’s supporting with formal reviews, monitoring Off the Job, data gathering and support with report writing to present to employers and liaising with End Point Assessment Organisations.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
* Competency in the subject area
* An appropriate Assessor qualification (for example D32/D33/A1/TAQA, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards
* A qualification at a minimum Level 3 in the subject area
* Experience of working with individuals to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours

The terms and conditions of employment offered by the Leicestershire College are different to those of Loughborough College. Please note that employees of the Leicestershire College are based at one of the campus’ of Loughborough College Group.
