Painter and Maintenance Operative
Location: Brighton
Salary: £29,254 per annum
Brighton College is seeking to appoint a Painter and Maintenance Operative on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting to: Deputy Head of Facilities Services (Maintenance)
Main purpose of the role: The purpose of this post is to ensure the smooth and efficient provision of painting services to all schools and properties within Brighton College.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
* Applying paint, stain, varnish and other finishes to a high standard with minimal supervision.
* Using brushes, rollers or spraying equipment.
* Working with the team to calculate the materials needed for a project.
* Removing old paint or wallpaper by sanding or scraping, or by using heat guns, liquid paint removers or steam strippers.
* Cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when project is complete.
* Any other reasonable management request.
Person Specification:
The successful candidate will have experience in the following areas:
1. Painting & Decorating Level 2 NVQ.
2. 3+ years of experience painting and decorating.
3. The ability to deliver on deadlines.
