Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner
This role is part of a busy talking therapies service at St Leonard’s Hospital, Hoxton. Full-time staff are expected to work on-site two days per week and remotely three days per week.
Main duties
* Deliver psychological assessment and low‑intensity interventions for clients in the City and Hackney boroughs, including one‑to‑one protocol‑based treatments, guided self‑help, online CBT programmes and psycho‑educational group workshops.
* Work within a long‑term conditions team of PWPs and HI Therapists, with opportunities for further training.
* Engage in outreach work in the community and in service‑related research.
* Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to staff well‑being initiatives.
Qualifications
* PG Certificate in Evidence‑Based Psychological Treatment for adults or equivalent.
Applicants without this qualification will not be shortlisted.

Education and Qualifications
* Degree level education or equivalent experience.
* PG Certificate in Evidence‑Based Psychological Treatment or equivalent.
Skills and Abilities
* Build and sustain cross‑discipline/sector relationships.
* Analytical, able to interpret data and synthesize information from multiple sources.
* Computer literate; proficient with spreadsheets and standard office software.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to present complex information in jargon‑free, reader‑friendly ways.
* Influencing and negotiating skills.
* Presentation skills in front of groups.
Experience
* Experience building relationships and face‑to‑face contact with people experiencing emotional difficulties.
* Experience working with diverse communities, e.g., Black and minority ethnic groups.
* Experience engaging groups or individuals with limited knowledge of the subject.
* Experience working with primary care staff in a medical/health setting.
* Experience promoting health or other community work.
* Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge
* Broad background knowledge of the NHS, Local Authority, primary care and voluntary sector provision, and legislative frameworks underpinning health and social care.
* Detailed understanding of the needs of people with mental health problems and their carers.
* Understanding of clinical mental health conditions and their responsiveness to talking therapies.
* Understanding of long‑term conditions and rehabilitation.
