This paid remote six-month internship offers a hands‑onintroduction to the world of automation within healthcare. As part of ourdedicated Automation team, you will help design, develop, and deliverreal‑world solutions that support the operational success of the ModalityGroup.
Throughout the placement, you will gain experience acrossthe full automation lifecycle from requirements gathering and design todevelopment, testing, and deployment. You will also support the ongoingmaintenance of robotics and automations, ensuring their reliability andperformance.

Main duties of the job
This is a varied, non‑patient‑facing role focused on supporting automation, digital workflows, and back‑office efficiencies across the division and Modality Practices.
During your internship, you will:
* Take part in a structured onboarding programme, including training on NHS clinical systems and automation tools
* Learn about the automation lifecycle, including when automation is appropriate and when it is not
* Work on a live automation project, gathering requirements and developing a solution
* Support the testing, implementation, and embedding of automation solutions into operational teams
* Assist with the creation and maintenance of automation documentation, ensuring governance requirements are met
* Produce reports, statistics, and performance data to support continuous improvement and transparency
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
