Job Description:
This role is part of Assystem's team driving the low-carbon energy future, specifically focusing on the Hinkley Point C project. The successful candidate will lead re-licensing strategy and post-construction legacy planning, ensuring regulatory readiness and strategic land use closure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage preparation and submission of the Nuclear Site Licence (NSL) re-licensing application
* Coordinate with ONR and client teams for de-licensing, operations, and construction alignment
* Develop restoration strategies for the Main Site and Related Developments
* Chair the Legacy Steering Group and oversee reinstatement programs
* Manage technical and financial proposals for legacy assets
* Contribute to planning applications such as DCO Material Change 2
* Engage stakeholders including communities, authorities, and regulators
* Ensure all legacy work complies with legal and project standards
Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
* Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or similar
* 8+ years managing complex construction or regulated projects
* Experience with stakeholder engagement and regulatory applications
* Knowledge of CDM Regulations and infrastructure planning
* Strong commercial, organizational, and risk management skills
* Excellent communication skills in English
Desired Skills:
* Experience with DCO planning or legacy strategies
* Knowledge of legal/regulatory planning in infrastructure projects
* Negotiation experience with public authorities
* Experience in multidisciplinary project environments
* French language skills beneficial
