Position: Site Supervisor/360 Wheeled Excavator Operator
Location: Wyboston
Overview
Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Site Supervisor/360 Wheeled Excavator Operator to begin work for a leading business in Wyboston.
This role combines professional plant operation with hands‑on site leadership. You will represent the company on client sites, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality installation of primarily temporary trackway systems using a 360° wheeled excavator. There will also be installation operations of other non‑mechanical plant and equipment required.
Key Responsibilities
* Operating a 360° wheeled excavator to install, lift and position temporary trackway panels
* Supervising site teams and ensuring work is completed safely and to specification
* Conducting on‑site risk assessments and toolbox talks
* Coordinating vehicle movements, labour and installation methods
* Liaising with clients and site managers to ensure smooth project delivery
* Maintaining plant to high standards and reporting defects
* Ensuring compliance with H&S regulations at all times
What We're Looking For
* Valid CPCS or NPORS 360° Excavator (Wheeled) qualification
* Demonstrable experience operating 360° machines in a construction or installation environment
* Valid CSCS card
* SSSTS qualification preferred
* Up to date Safety Critical Medical Preferred
* Class 1/2 driving licence would be preferable
* Strong understanding of site safety and leadership responsibilities
* Full UK driving licence (towing experience)
* Ability to work away from home when required including overnight stays
* Reliability, communication skills and a proactive attitude
