Newstaff Employment Services is currently seeking a skilled Bench Joiner to join our team in Flitwick. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating wooden components and fixtures in a workshop environment. The ideal candidate will have strong woodworking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work from technical drawings to produce high-quality joinery products.
Responsibilities
* Work from technical drawings and specifications to create and assemble wooden structures such as doors, windows, and cabinetry.
* Operate various woodworking tools and machinery, including saws, routers, and sanders, to shape and finish wood components.
* Ensure quality control by measuring and inspecting materials and finished products for accuracy.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and project requirements.
* Participate in continual improvement processes to enhance productivity and product quality.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Bench Joiner or in a similar woodworking role.
* Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, tools, and machinery.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
