Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant / Support Worker
Location: Bradford, BD5
Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 2:00pm (Must be available all five days)
Start: 23rd Feb
Contract: Long-term with potential for permanent placement

We are recruiting caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join one of our partner schools in Bradford. This is an inclusive secondary school supporting young people aged 11–19 with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities. The school provides a nurturing, structured, and positive learning environment where every pupil is supported to reach their full potential.
This role will involve working across PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) classes, supporting students with complex needs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with ASC, complex learning needs, and physical disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support students with complex needs in classroom and 1:1 settings
2. Work across PMLD classes supporting learning and engagement
3. Support with personal care, including toileting, hygiene, and dressing
4. Assist with manual handling and positional changes
5. Help pupils develop independence and confidence
6. Use communication tools, visual aids, and structured routines
7. Support positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social interaction
8. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
About You
9. Must be able to work Monday – Friday, 10am – 2pm
10. Must be comfortable providing personal care
11. Caring, patient, and resilient nature
12. Genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND
13. Strong communication and teamwork skills
14. Flexible, proactive, and willing to learn
15. Experience working in SEN, care, or education settings is desirable
16. Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or sensory strategies is beneficial (training can be provided)
