Vacancy due to a GP relocating.
We are a friendly and effective team, 7 permanent GPs, most of whom have been with us more than 10 years. We are forward thinking, and try to stay optimistic.
Prescribing pharmacist (so less scripts to sign)
Really good admin staff and coders (less post to deal with)
Visiting Paramedics (less visits to do)
A triage system that really works - so short waiting times, and we hardly ever need to see extras.
Work closely with neighbouring practice (share the work). This vacancy is for 6 sessions, but if the best candidate wants to work full time, we can offer 2 further sessions at our sister practice (1 mile away)
Training practice (Registrars). Social mobility project with local school.
No evenings or weekends (unless you really want to…)
We aren’t going to pretend it isn’t busy, but we do share out the work fairly.
We don’t need any “special interests” covering, but if you have one (minor surgery, women’s health, education and teaching) we will support you.
Initially one year fixed term contract - because of the latest GP contract vagaries and uncertainties but we'd hope to turn it into a permanent post at the end of this.
Starting salary £11666 per session, plus reimbursement of defence body subscriptions.
