Mon to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00, Fri: 08:00 to 12:00 Holidays: 30 days holiday inclusive of the statutory bank holidays based on working a 4.5 day working week Introduction Booth Dispensers Limited manufactures drinks dispense systems and provide bar and cellar parts to the hospitality industry. An opportunity has arisen to join the NPI and Engineering department as an e xperienced design engineer within this exciting and expanding business. Brief Job Description Working alongside a multi-disciplined team, undertaking electrical/mechanical product design and development activities for new & existing products. Supporting the production and manufacturing areas within the business. Forming part of the product design team to manage New Product Introduction (NPI). Coordinate and manage projects Provide updates at team meetings Producing and updating BoM's for manufacturing and costs. Producing high quality component and assembly design. Maintenance of Engineering Changes Education : HND/Degree. Minimum 3 years industry experience. Skills required : Good understanding of project management. Experience with MS Project (or similar) beneficial but not essential. Experienced in 3D CAD software, Autodesk Inventor & Vault, or similar package. Producing engineering drawings. Sheet metal design. Design for manufacture. Understanding of Bills of Material and their creation. Electrical knowledge (BS EN 60335, LVD etc.). Business Management Software (ERP & MRP). Lean principles. Knowledge of refrigeration theory is desirable, but not essential. The person: A team player, appreciative of maintaining a positive workplace culture. A multi-disciplined engineer with a pro-active and disciplined approach to work. Good electrical and mechanical knowledge. Ability to problem solve and work under pressure. Creative thinker and strong problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other applications Understanding of design and production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap, and re-work Good level of understanding of quality control systems, workflow management and risk analysis. Has knowledge of working to directives and standards ensuring product safety. Confident in attending meetings at different levels of the business. Desire to learn and develop. Strong practical skills (essential for workshop activities)
