Job Title: Social Worker (Children)
Location: Wakefield
Working Hours: Hybrid
Rate: £35-£40 per hour
Liquid Personnel are currently recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join the busy team in Wakefield, based within the Children’s Team.
Responsibilities
* Provide assessment, care management and social work services to children and their families, arising out of the council’s duties and powers under legislation, Council and Group policy.
* Bring experience and knowledge of statutory requirements for Children Looked After (LAC) as part of the LAC Team.
* Undertake statutory visits, complete Personal Education Plans, care plans and assessments of need.
* Work with unaccompanied asylum‑seeking children and have experience with court work.
* Hold professional responsibility for a caseload, working within tight timescales and court deadlines.
* Ensure that each carer’s personal records are maintained to the required standards.
* Undertake home visits, assessment visits, unannounced visits and supervision visits.

Requirements / What you will be expected to have
* Hold a Social Work England registration
* Be eligible to work in the UK
* Hold a full UK license
* Post-qualified experience
* Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
