Project Quality Lead

Project: Heathrow H7 (London, UK)

Location: Heathrow Airport

The Role:

Project Quality Lead will report to Project Director and Head Office UK&IRE Senior Quality & Assurance Manager. You will lead of Quality Management system, manage and deploy, ensure a good performance, engage with the rest of departments.

You will lead right first-time ethos and excellent in our operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Manage the Systems of the project to ensure Digital Construction and lean digital processes are implemented and managed
2. Support in Tenders and prequalification process when required by Project Director or UK&IRE Senior Quality & Assurance Manager
3. Support Innovation initiatives, raise new opportunities and lead when required
4. Manage, communicate, promote and enforce the Employer’s Requirements for Quality Management in line with FC’s Quality Management System and the Client
5. Take the lead role in facilitating and conducting Quality sessions with Project Management and Work Packages teams including suppliers,
6. Liaise closely with Employer’s Quality leader representative and organize quality events,
7. Advise and guide the Project Management team of quality procedures,
8. Monitor compliance of the QMP with the assistance of the Quality Advisor throughout the project and ensuring processes support the Employer’s Requirements for quality assurance,
9. Ensure that an effective audit program is developed and that audits are undertaken by qualified competent auditors,
10. Promote and maintain the Right First Time/continuous improvement at all levels,
11. Full implementation and ownership of the project CDE and Field Systems
12. Complete Management review as required
13. Development and execution of the Ferrovial Construction and Project Quality Engagement Plan,
14. Analyze any trends of non-conformities and implement measures to prevent reoccurrence, and ensure their timely closure
15. Deploy, maintain and manage the Quality management System of the project.
16. Ensure correct and timely KPI reporting, and ensure that a Works Package quality register is in place,
17. Ensure compliance with FC processes and management systems,
18. Establish and maintain a matrix of authorized signatories and competent people,
19. Promote regular quality reviews by the Project Management team
20. Give advice to Project management and suppliers in the production of a certificate of compliance, design and production, of the requirements to be referenced that all requirements have been met,
21. Ensure that a HAZOP study is initiated, and progressively addressed,
22. Promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, sub-contractors and other external contacts.
23. Responsible to have processes digitised and correctly implemented
24. Manage Handover and Asset Integration, Document Control and Systems, Quality Assurance Department

Skills and Competences:

25. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at a variety of levels throughout Ferrovial
26. Cooperative, collaborative, ability to work with different departments
27. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar disciplines
28. Experience of working in different and large infrastructure and construction projects
29. Experience in management multiple and interdisciplinary team
30. Being committed, demonstration of leadership capabilities, and ability to solve problems efficiently and optimise working promises without impacting quality performance
31. Valid CSCS card to enable going on site working with site technicians
