We are looking for an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join our team in Sheffield. This role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work independently, performing maintenance and repairs across multiple sites. You will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet remain safe, reliable, and roadworthy. This is a day shift role, providing a stable schedule and excellent earning potential, based in Sheffield but being required to travel to our satellite depots, every other weekend (Newton Aycliffe, Bromsgrove, Cambridge, Taunton, Basingstoke, Romford). This can involve staying away overnight, the cost of which will be paid by the Company, when weekend work required you will have a day off during the week.
Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and repairs of a wide range of vehicles (3.Your expertise in vehicle mechanics, coupled with your ability to work independently, will ensure that our fleet remains in top condition, minimizing downtime and ensuring the safety of our drivers.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on a wide range of vehicles.
Ensure all repairs and maintenance work meet Company standards and health and safety regulations.
Accurately complete service records, job sheets, and inspection paperwork.
Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment both on-site and while traveling
Your expertise in vehicle mechanics, coupled with your ability to work independently, will ensure that our fleet remains in top condition, minimizing downtime and ensuring the safety of our drivers
BTEC, NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification with at least 2 years of experience in vehicle maintenance
Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role, ideally in a mobile capacity.
Valid HGV Class 1 or 2 license - essential.
Willingness to travel across country to meet the demands of the role
