We are currently seeking three Ward Managers to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team across our Acute, CAMHS, and Addictions wards at a leading independent mental health hospital in Chelmsford.

The Opportunities
CAMHS Ward Manager
Lead our 11-bedded service for young people aged 13–18, providing a safe, therapeutic environment for adolescents experiencing complex mental health difficulties. You will manage a skilled team delivering person-centred care, evidence-based therapies, and structured recovery pathways.
Addictions Ward Manager
Guide a highly skilled clinical team supporting adults through detoxification and recovery from addiction. You will ensure safe, effective care planning, promote engagement in therapy, and foster an environment of compassion, dignity, and growth.
Acute Ward Manager
Oversee a dynamic ward providing short-term inpatient care for adults experiencing acute mental health crises, including psychosis, mood, and anxiety disorders. You will coordinate care across disciplines, ensuring high standards of clinical quality and patient experience.

* Lead and inspire your team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care
* Manage ward operations, staffing, and resources effectively
* Oversee clinical supervision, appraisals, and professional development for your nursing team
* Promote a positive, inclusive culture that values learning, accountability, and excellence
* Contribute to service improvement, audit, and quality initiatives
What You’ll Bring
* Registered professional (NMC or HCPC)
* Minimum two years’ supervisory or ward leadership experience in a relevant care setting
* Strong clinical leadership and people management skills
* Experience in audit, service improvement, rota management, and multidisciplinary collaboration
