Job Summary

We may conduct our interviews in person or using Microsoft Teams for video calling. All you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.

This post is based within our Education Directorate. Working within the Secondary Support Resources Base at Greenwood Academy you will support young people with additional communication, learning, emotional and support needs from across North Ayrshire within Greenwood Academy. You will develop and deliver a personal curriculum for learners centred on nurturing principles and focussed on literacy, numeracy, interdisciplinary learning, outdoor learning and wellbeing with access to mainstream learning where possible. As part of our Team around the Child approach you will work with internal services and community partners to ensure that the physical and learning needs of the young people are met.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.
