The Senior Quality Advisor is responsible for providing QA and QC support across multiple locations in the UK, including construction delivery, proposals, procurement, and business services. The role involves advising sites to maintain and improve processes and facilitate continuous improvement.
Job Description
1. Responsible for quality-related matters on construction projects.
2. Report progress and issues with project quality to the QA Manager.
3. Provide QA advice to the project team.
4. Ensure project requirements for quality standards are identified, communicated, and monitored.
5. Attend project progress meetings as required to discuss quality issues and ensure action plans are implemented.
6. Prepare project-specific QMP and ITP with the Project Manager, ensuring client acceptance.
7. Audit construction activities for compliance with procedures and quality plans.
8. Assist in compiling quality sections for handover documentation and monitor progress to final client acceptance.
9. Monitor quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
10. Lead or support internal projects to improve quality effectiveness and efficiency.
11. Conduct internal and external quality audits, including at supply chain sites.
12. Lead quality incident investigations, report findings, develop corrective actions, and track completion.
13. Comply with health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
14. Draft technical documents and procedures for review by the QA Manager and Head of Engineering.
Qualifications
1. Minimum of three years’ experience in a quality-based role, preferably in civil engineering or related regulated sectors.
2. Experience with quality standards such as ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.
3. Experience with NCR processes.
4. Desirable: Root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
5. Ability to discuss and influence complex quality issues with stakeholders.
6. Good time management skills.
7. Responsible, conscientious, punctual, highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
8. Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
