Current projects include a project building London's new fleet of underground stock, the Piccadilly line. This is one of the industry's most exciting projects to be involved in, helping manufacture London's newest tube fleet. Position Summary Working within the wider Team this role would involve liaising with suppliers on an operational level mainly focussing on components as dictated by projects which currently includes proprietary purchases of goods to aid in ongoing assembly activities. Responsibilities will include but not limited to: * Liaising with internal and external contacts in the supply chain to maximise material flow, including raising concerns of bottle necks as a when required * Co-Ordinating with suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery, performance & schedule Purchasing equipment and components * Preparation of enquiries, purchase orders and evaluation of bids * Liaising with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality. * Perform regular performance review with suppliers. * Analysing date and Coordinating documentation to ensure accurate records are mainta...
