Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturing organization with operations across Canada and the United States. They are known for a strong safety culture and are investing in leadership to elevate their Safety, Health and Environmental performance across multiple sites.


Your new role

Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will lead the SHE function across Canadian operations (Cornwall, ON and Lachine, QC) with oversight support for a U.S. facility. As a key member of the leadership team, you will drivepliance, shape programs, and influence a proactive safety culture across the business.
Key responsibilities
1. Lead and manage all Safety, Health & Environmental programs across multiple sites
2. Ensure fullpliance with Canadian regulations (including MOE, NPRI, MISA, CEPA)
3. Monitor regulatory changes and advise leadership on operational impact
4. Oversee industrial hygiene programs, incident investigations, and hazard controls
5. Develop and implement initiatives to reduce injury rates and improve performance
6. Act as employer representative for Joint Health & Safetymittees
7. Manage environmental reporting, audits, and wastepliance
8. Lead WSIB claims management, including appeals
9. Support U.S. site with implementation of safety programs (OSHA exposure)
10. Deliver training andmunication on WHMIS, first aid, lockout/tagout, fall protection
11. Provide regular reporting and strategic rmendations to senior leadership

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this very important role, you should have strong past experience of dealing with unionized environments, you're tough but fair when ites to dealing with difficult situations. As well as:

12. 7–10+ years of progressive Health & Safety leadership experience (manufacturing preferred)
13. Strong working knowledge of Canadian SHE legislation; U.S. exposure is an asset
14. CRSP and/or CHSC designation are strongly preferred
15. Experience with WSIB claims and incident trend analysis
16. Proven ability to drive cultural and program improvements
17. Excellentmunication, training, and stakeholder management skills
18. Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or related field is an asset
Location requirement
19. Must be based within 80KM of Cornwall, Ontario or willing to relocate
