Main duties of the job
As part of an area-based team, your general day-to-day duties will include the running of your local station, in conjunction with the Local Area Manager and Team Leaders.
In this role, you will be rostered to ensure coverage at multiple work settings, including; response duties to 999 calls and incidents, A&E Departments for hospital liaison, ambulance stations to conduct meetings and appraisals, and other settings that may require operational managerial presence.

Knowledge, Training, and Experience
Essential criteria
2. Educated to Degree Level in relevant subject, or equivalent level qualification, or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
3. Blue Light driver trained, or ability to achieve this standard.
4. A full UK manual driving licence with C1 category, and with no more than 3 penalty points.
5. Experienced HCPC registered Paramedic who has completed the NQP pathway or NMC registered Nurse post Pre-Hospital Practitioner pathway/or equivalent with at least 12 months frontline ambulance service experience.
6. Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes.
7. NARU occupational standards Operational Commander Accreditation, or willing to complete within the next 12 months.
8. A first Line Manager’s qualification equivalent to ILM level 3 or Managerial qualification or equivalent experience, demonstrable experience of working in a supervisory role or above.
