Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in construction, working alongside experienced professionals on a variety of projects across the North West.
Our office is based in Wrexham, and the role will involve travel to sites across the North West — therefore, a full UK driving licence and access to your own transport is essential (or, someone who is currently learning).
As our company continues to expand with multiple ongoing projects, this role offers excellent prospects for professional growth and development.
The Trainee Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial and financial management of construction projects while learning the technical and practical skills needed to become a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor.
You'll work closely with our Senior Quantity Surveyor, Project Managers, and site teams to help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
* Helping to measure and value works, both on-site and from drawings
* Monitoring project costs and reporting on expenditure
* Supporting with procurement of materials, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Learning to assess variations, claims, and progress payments
* Assisting with preparation of monthly valuations and final accounts
* Keeping accurate records of site activities, progress, and costs
* Following health, safety, and quality requirements on all projects

* Strong numerical and analytical ability

* Willingness to learn from experienced professionals
* Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
* Competence in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Entry Requirements
* Studying (or recently completed) a degree, HND, or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related subject
* Apprenticeship scheme will be available for the right candidate
