Calling all ambitious and dedicated Social Workers! An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Help and Protection Team in Doncaster, specialising in Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Care Proceedings. This ongoing locum role offers a competitive hourly rate of £35.00, along with the flexibility of full-time or part-time working options to suit your lifestyle.

What you will do:

* Manage a varied caseload involving Children in Need, Child Protection cases, and care proceedings.
* Undertake comprehensive child and family assessments and develop effective care and support plans.
* Safeguard children at risk of harm, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions are implemented.
* Prepare detailed reports and evidence for court proceedings and statutory meetings.
* Participate in child protection conferences, strategy discussions, and legal planning meetings.
* Work collaboratively within a multi-agency safeguarding framework to ensure positive outcomes for children and families.

Person specification:

Qualifications:

* Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.

Registration and compliance:

* Registration with Social Work England.
* Enhanced DBS clearance.
* Must have the Right to Work in the UK.

Key skills:

* Strong safeguarding and risk assessment expertise.
* In-depth knowledge of child protection legislation and care proceedings.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
* Ability to engage effectively with vulnerable children and families.
* Strong organisational and case management abilities.
* Experience working within a multi-agency safeguarding environment.

Experience:

* Post-qualification experience in Children’s Social Care.
* Experience managing Children in Need, Child Protection, and court-related cases.
* Proven ability to manage complex safeguarding situations.
* Experience of multi-agency partnership working.
