Job Description
RPS is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our environment team as an apprentice. The role can be based in Bristol, Abingdon, London, or Manchester. It is suitable for someone interested in geology and contaminated land, with a balance of office and site work, including travel.
We will support the successful candidate through a relevant environmental degree course, paid for by RPS, undertaken part-time (block release for 6-10 weeks annually) over five years. The rest of the time, the apprentice will support geo-environmental teams with environmental and geotechnical investigations, monitoring programs, audits, and related activities.
Your Role
* Conduct site-based environmental monitoring, including water and soil sampling.
* Support ground investigation projects on-site.
* Prepare information and assessments for environmental desk studies.
* Manage environmental data and become familiar with industry data formats and software.
* Perform geological appraisals.
* Work independently or as part of a team.
* Assist in preparing factual reports.
