Locum Consultant in Ear, Nose & Throat with specialist interest in Head and Neck Surgery
The post-holder will be expected to be independent in general ENT surgery with a focus on head and neck and management including benign disease and two week wait fast track referrals.
There is an opportunity to tailor your practice to include other disciplines of ENT surgery.
The Head and Neck Cancer and Thyroid service works as part of the tertiary group with Bradford and Leeds Teaching Hospitals. Weekly MDTs take place where complex activity is referred to our tertiary partners. The post holder will need to be able to work with such teams at a high level to ensure patient care and transition is smooth.
The successful candidate will have a job plan tailored to meet the collective needs of the individual and services, including:
* Head and Neck clinics (including Fast Track)
* General Anaesthetic theatre working
* Clinical triage, advice and guidance
* Patient administration
* SPA (1.5PA, of which 0.5PA flexible)
* MDT presentation
* Service development
* Audit and Research opportunities
* Monthly Clinical Governance
