Job Description:

We are currently looking for a talented, motivated, and ambitious Senior Landscape Architect/Designer to work on a number of high-profile projects as an integrated member of the Landscape team at BIG’s London studio. You will be based in the office together with a vibrant, multidisciplinary team of 200+ BIGsters, and will be responsible for the delivery of projects of varying scale and typology in the Middle East and UK, including masterplans, buildings, and public realm design.
Key responsibilities:
1. Design of landscape projects and day-to-day coordination of BIG-L team
2. Generating creative, responsive, and boundary-pushing ideas in collaboration with Partners, project subconsultants and clients
3. Technical development and management of landscape projects
4. Production and coordination of drawing sets
5. Ensuring design intent and quality across all stages
6. Presentation and inspiring both internal design teams and client groups
7. Balancing design intent, costs, and technical feasibility in close collaboration with design leadership
8. Mentoring junior members in both design and technical developments
9. Participate in landscape leadership strategies in future growth of BIG-L London
The ideal candidate:
10. Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Landscape Architect/Designer on built and published references
11. Professional degree in Landscape Architecture
12. Chartered Membership of Landscape Institute (CMLI) is desirable
13. Experience workingon hospitality projects and projects in the Middle East is preferable
14. Experience in an array of typologies (public, private, master planning) and technical realms (resiliency, large and small scale)
15. Experience in planting, natural systems and grading design aspects of landscape architecture
16. Experience with technical detailing and documentation is preferable
17. Strong conceptual and design skills
18. Influential and confident in client presentation, team management and project coordination
19. Ability to work under pressure with an open and flexible attitude
20. Proficiency in Rhino and Adobe Suite is essential, Revit and Enscape is desirable
21. Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written)
