Overview
As an autonomous EMHP you will play a key part in the delivery of high-quality service provision that promotes and improves the mental health and well-being of children and young people, their families, and carers. In a school-based team you will provide direct intervention for young people presenting with mild/moderate mental health difficulties within professional practice guidelines and a structured supervision framework. The post holder will be required to adapt to and undertake different or new duties in line with professional and service developments.
Responsibilities
* Practice within the MHST national framework, providing assessments and interventions for children, young people and parents/carers in education settings.
* Support schools and education providers to develop whole-settings approaches to emotional health and wellbeing.
* Provide advice, consultation, support and training to services to ensure appropriate interventions are identified to address young people’s mental health difficulties.
* As a senior member of the team, contribute to the development of team projects, supervise junior members of staff/trainees and act as a representative for the team at community and partnership meetings.
