Applications are invited from Band 4 Nursing Associates with a genuine commitment to working with older people to join the comprehensive Older Adult service on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
The unit is a 20-bedded facility specifically for people living with Dementia, who exhibit challenging behaviours and cannot be supported in their own homes or in local residential/nursing homes.
Please note: Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system but has applied its own salary scale.
The current Band 4 salary range is £33,565 to £39,866, plus an annual bonus of £1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 40% for evening/Saturday shifts and 80% for Sunday/Public Holidays.
Annual leave starts at 36 days, up to 42 days, with full credit for NHS service for both annual and sick leave.

The Older Adult Mental Health Service includes four inpatient centres, from assessment wards to later stages of dementia, as well as Community Day Services.
They have recently launched their Island-wide Dementia Framework to make Guernsey a Dementia-Friendly community, ensuring older populations are valued and treated with dignity and respect.
All of this relies on the recruitment of highly qualified nursing staff.
Person requirements:
Qualified Nursing Associate with valid NMC Registration.
Passionate about working with older people with complex medical, physical, and mental health needs.
A team-oriented approach and commitment to person-centred care are essential.
This post is also open to enthusiastic graduate Nurse Associates demonstrating a specific interest in Older Adult services and a desire to develop further in this sector.
