The Role
* Providing strategic and operational leadership of the Science department
* Teaching your specialist science subject across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on experience
* Leading curriculum development, assessment, and quality assurance across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
* Line managing and supporting staff, including mentoring and performance development
* Driving consistently high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil outcomes
* Contributing to whole-school improvement and leadership initiatives
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* A degree in a Science-related subject
* Proven experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
* Demonstrable leadership experience within a Science department
* Strong curriculum knowledge and a track record of excellent outcomes
* The ability to inspire, support, and challenge colleagues effectively
* A professional, organised, and forward-thinking leadership approach
