As a trusted Support Worker, you'll empower people to follow through on these choices, including taking part in structured activities that build confidence and develop new skills. You'll also offer practical support to help them meet responsibilities like paying bills, maintaining their homes, being good neighbours, and staying connected with friends and family.
Responsibilities
* Support a person with intimate personal care with respect and dignity

* Encourage participation in structured activities that build confidence and develop new skills
* Support effective communication with individuals and a range of professional people
* Record events with empathy and meaning
* Assist with transportation to appointments and activities (driving licence is essential)
Qualifications and Requirements
* No experience required as full training is provided
* Patience and empathy
* Ability to support a person with intimate personal care with respect and dignity (as above)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to speak on behalf of others as well as to a range of professional people
* Good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning
* Full driving licence – essential for transporting individuals to appointments and activities
Hours, Salary and Benefits
* Hours: full and part-time options available between 16 to 40 hours per week, with day, evening and weekend shifts and sleep-ins available
* Salary: £12.74 per hour; sleep-in shifts at £60 per night; travel expenses paid at 45p per mile
* Contract: Permanent, with excellent training and development opportunities to achieve qualifications
* 25 days annual leave rising to 30 days after 5 years’ service, with option to buy or sell leave
