Queen Margaret Hospital

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Mental Health Nurse to provide managerial support and leadership to the mental health wards within Queen Margaret Hospital (wards 2, 3 and 4). This post will be predominantly nightshift, however there is an expectation that you will also carry out duties on day shift if required.

As a pivotal member of the team you should possess good interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written) and have a genuine interest in working in a charge nurse role within the mental health unit.
You will be confident in dealing with a wide range of clinical situations and supporting team members and associated professionals to provide the best care to service users and optimise team work within the ward. Candidates must be able to demonstrate leadership skills with significant experience of working within mental health services. The successful applicant will be self motivated and committed to person centred care, professional development and quality improvement. The applicant will be expected to be educated to degree level or equivalent level of skill gained through experience. You will receive a comprehensive induction package and supportive educational development. We are committed to supporting learners, delivery of clinical supervision and personal development.
