Full-Time PE Teacher – Southampton, Hampshire
Do you have a passion for promoting physical fitness and well-being in students?
If so, GSL Education are proud to present an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Southampton, starting this January 2026. This is a full-time position.
This progressive and supportive school embraces applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and seasoned educators. Opportunity to secure a permanent role after probation.
Responsibilities of the PE Teacher:
* Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
* Encourage participation and enthusiasm for physical activity and healthy living.
* Organise and lead extracurricular sporting events, clubs, and inter-school competitions.
* Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Work collaboratively with other staff members to support the overall well-being and academic progress of pupils.
Requirements of the PE Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent.
* Experience in teaching Physical Education is essential.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
* The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best in PE.
* Commitment to promoting a love for physical fitness and a curiosity about the world of sports.
* Relevant qualifications or training in physical education is desirable.
* Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
