Description
Join us as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and take the lead in driving efficiencies, managing costs, and enhancing regional performance for our clients. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all financial aspects of projects, ensuring that commercial and contractual matters are handled with precision. Your expertise will help deliver desired margin returns while identifying, recording, and tracking both risks and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who can:
* Manage contract performance, including weekly P&L reporting.
* Review contract documents and proactively mitigate any issues.
* Control progress and cash flow forecast information.
* Manage commercial forecasts, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVRs), and Project Finance Reports.
* Take charge of Subcontractor Management, including forecasting, raising orders, and negotiating terms.
* Prepare subcontract documents, inquiries, and assess quotations.
* Oversee subcontract orders, agreement, certification of valuations, invoices, payments, and final accounts.
* Manage the change control process, risk, and value management.
* Track project changes, variations, and notices.
* Assess and value variations and compensation events.
* Prepare and submit interim valuations and payment applications to clients, along with final account agreements.
* Attend risk review, progress, and commercial meetings on-site with clients.
* Be actively involved with tenders and pricing.
* Oversee Credit Control, focusing on cash recovery and forecasting.
* Support the operational team in daily commercial and contractual aspects.
Experience and Qualifications
* A degree qualification (RICS accredited or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
* NEC4 experience is preferable.
* Experience in the Utilities industry is ideal.
* Sound knowledge of contracts, particularly NEC.
* Ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and thrive under tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills are a must.
