Food, Beverage and Events Supervisor
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Thonock Park Food, Beverage and Events Team as a Supervisor, reporting directly to the Food & Beverage/Operations Manager. We're looking for someone who is completely customer focused and is able to consistently deliver exceptional customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach.
The position will supervise all day-to-day operations of the F&B department, while supporting the Manager and Deputy Manager in providing training and implementing procedures that ensure the level of service and operating standards that are in line with Thonock Park's values.
This role incorporates lone working time during the evenings to attend to our members and hotel guests, with some regular night-time 'on-call' duties and lock-ups required.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead by example with a friendly smile and a warm welcome to everyone.
* Supervise and motivate a team and ensure all F&B personnel are presented correctly.
* Ensure all F&B personnel are fully trained and competent in the relevant areas.
* Ensure all guest orders and requests are executed promptly and to the required standard.
* Ensure all point-of-sale transactions are made correctly and cashing up procedures are followed.
* Be a key holder for the premises, which means opening the building in the morning and closing, locking and securing the building after business hours.
* First Aider – training will be provided if required.
* Be a competent Fire Marshal to perform full building evacuations – training will be provided.
* SIA security trained – training will be provided if required.
* Working some late evening shifts to ensure members and hotel guests are catered for, managing the out-of-hour phone and be on-call when required.
* Ensure the hotel check-in procedure is conducted in a professional and welcoming manner.
* Perform other relevant duties as directed by the Management Team, including event setups, deep cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
Essential qualifications and experience:
* Comprehensive knowledge of F&B and Event operations for individual and group dining, including service standards, table presentation, inventory control, cost control, health and safety and point of sale systems.
Personal qualities and skills:
* Have strong and confident communication skills, with the ability to relate to all staff and visitors from a variety of backgrounds.
* Capable of multi-tasking and keeping all areas, front and back of house, clean, tidy and organised.
* Exceptional service standards skills.
* Excellent organisational skills and be able to meet deadlines
