A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Controls Engineer for a company in the Bridgwater area.
With no day ever being the same the Electrical Controls Engineer offers an opportunity to perform as part of the senior leadership team and offers career development within a first:class organisation.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Install, commission, and maintain electrical and control systems.
* Manage small to medium capital projects from start to finish.
* Maintain and upgrade LV distribution, panels, switchgear, and submains.
* Carry out on:site electrical work including testing and fault:finding.
* Support PLC/HMI systems, drives, and safety system commissioning.
* Mentor junior staff and promote health, safety, and continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Hands:on electrical engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
* Skilled in PLC diagnostics, fault:finding, and minor modifications.
* Knowledge of VSDs, safety circuits, control panels, and industrial networks.
* Experience commissioning machinery and supporting automation upgrades.
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge.
* Strong problem:solving, teamwork, and commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
