The Eating Disorders Service at The Brownhill Centre, Cheltenham is recruiting an enthusiastic clinician to work within a specialist mental health service.
The service provides specialist assessment, treatment and support for individuals who are experiencing an eating disorder within Gloucestershire.
Main duties of the job
Working alongside other health care professionals including RMNs, RGNs, GPs, dietitians, AHPs and consultant psychiatrists to support service users within their recovery.
The candidate will hold excellent communication skills, be enthusiastic in approach and demonstrate an understanding of the complexities involved in this specialist area of mental health.
To assess, clinically manage, co‑ordinate care, and treat adults with an eating disorder and contribute to the assessment and treatment of families.
Responsibilities
Providing multidisciplinary assessment and treatment for patients with eating disorders, using evidence‑based interventions.
Co‑ordinating care with allied professionals and families to support recovery.
Maintaining accurate clinical records and participating in clinical governance and audit activities.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Professional qualification in a mental health discipline (e.g. RMN, OT, Mental Health Social Worker) with registration with NMC or HCPC, or relevant degree with existing eating disorders experience.
* Recognised degree registration under the Health & Care Professions Council.
* Previous experience working with people with eating disorders.

* Experience in assessment and management of eating disorders.
