Fire & Security Engineer – South East – M25
Alarm Communications Limited is a leading team of fire protection, commercial security and building management systems specialists, headquartered in Surrey. We serve prestigious buildings and landmarks such as high‑end hotels, stadia and educational establishments in and around Greater London. We are looking to appoint a Fire & Security Engineer to cover the M25 area.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the on‑site lead for the delivery of fire and security projects, including the installation and commissioning of fire alarm and security‑related systems.
* Take technical ownership and hands‑on involvement in the execution of projects, ensuring efficient and successful installations while delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Lead a variety of small to large‑sized projects and serve as the primary on‑site contact.
* Install and maintain networked systems such as Gent, Advanced, Notifier, Avigilon, HikVision, Axxonsoft, Salto, Assa Abloy, ACT, Paxton, Galaxy, Texecom and Cortech.
* Work closely with a small, dedicated key‑account support team of fellow Engineers and Apprentices.
* Serve a relatively small group of long‑standing, prestigious sites and build strong end‑user relationships.
* Maintain professional workmanship to exceptional standards across all sites.
* Report to the Contract Manager, liaise with Senior Engineer, Service Coordinator, and Service Manager.
* Participate in a low‑frequency call‑out rota (approximately one week in 17 split week/weekend).

Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Fire and Security Engineer.
* Electrical competency; able to carry out safe isolations and maintain a safe working environment.
* Experience installing, commissioning and maintaining fire and security systems.
* Customer‑orientated with the ability to adapt and respond to different client situations.
* Strong attention to detail and effective time‑management skills.
* Passion for continuous learning and skill development.
* Commitment to installing and maintaining systems to the highest standards.
