Position Overview
We are excited to invite applications for a full-time One-to-One Teaching Assistant role. This position is term-time only, working Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:30. While primarily based at our Horsham site, you may also support students at local PE venues and college settings.
Your Responsibilities
As a vital member of our team, you will:
* Collaborate with the Headteacher and class teachers to align with our therapeutic approach.
* Support the pupil in learning effectively, both individually and in group settings.
* Clarify and explain instructions to ensure understanding.
* Motivate and encourage the pupil through personalized attention and support.
* Assist in areas such as speech and language, reading, spelling, numeracy, and handwriting.
* Utilize praise and constructive feedback to keep the pupil engaged and focused.
* Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals on Individual Personal Education Plans (PEPs).
* Provide additional nurture as requested by the class teacher or SENCO.
* Implement agreed behavior management strategies consistently.
* Build supportive relationships with the pupil to foster trust and engagement.
* Encourage acceptance and inclusion among pupils with SEN.
* Monitor and adapt learning activities to meet the pupil's needs and achieve learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A minimum qualification of GCSE A-C or equivalent in Maths and English.
* A Level 3 or above Teaching Assistant qualification.
* An understanding of the challenges faced by students with Emotional, Behavioural, or Social needs.
* The ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team.

Desirable: Experience in a specialist educational environment.
Working Conditions
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, term-time only, with a salary range of £20,422 - £21,111.51. You will be part of a supportive and dedicated team committed to making a positive impact on our students' lives.
