AMETEK, Towcester, England – Quality Engineer – Motions
Support the transfer of business from Sunbury‑on‑Thames to the new Towcester facility, ensuring capability and alignment детям of the quality management system with regulatory standards, customer expectations and internal processes. Strive to continuously improve product quality through robust root‑cause analysis and contribute to a reduction in the cost of poor quality.
Responsibilities
* Produce and submit Last & First Article Reports to customers and validate incoming supplier reports
* Ongoing inspection support for Towcester products, including inwards and outwards
* Monitor and, where necessary, escalade internal product quality issues
* Lead cross‑functional problem‑solving teams in line with the AMETEK Airtechnology standard processes to ensure effective and robust corrective action is implemented
* Responsible for release of product in accordance with EASA Form 1 Requirements (CAA Part 21 and 145), FAR 145 and Certificate of Conformity of all products from the business site, including delegating responsibility during absences after a period of training
* Achieve and maintain delegated quality responsibility (DQR) from customers, and where necessary delegate to other competent individuals
* Lead and host audits carried out at Towcester by customers and serve as a focal point for any third‑party assessments with the Compliance & Audit Manager
* Carry out internal audits in accordance with the internal audit programme
* Deputise for the Quality Manager
* During transition: provide quality support for production set‑up, control plans, inspection requirements and ongoing compliance support
Other Responsibilities / Non‑essential Functions
* Take part in independent internal audits and act on any issues raised for areas of responsibility
* Undertake training identified as a requirement of the role by the role manager
* Undertake all other reasonable requests made by the role manager, acting manager or directors
* Provide flexible support outside of normal tasks during periods of reduced departmental staff attendance to ensure customer satisfaction
* Occasionally take on ad hoc duties, including but not limited to training, department‑associated tasks and brief secondments to other departments
